The Galeria Apartment - sleeps 2 to 4 persons. This large apartment (90 m2) was done in 2001 and, we think, it is something quite special. This area of the Molino was formerly an art gallery (hence the name). We wanted something different, exotic, North African, and with these ideas turned an architect loose. We are very pleased with the result.
The apartment is very private, with its own entrance to the principal street in Gaucín through a discrete wicket gate. One enters the apartment through an old antique wood door to find a large salon. The furniture is a mixture of hand carved wood from Ronda or imported from Morocco, creating a wonderful ambience. There is a dining area in the salon and a separate fully equipped kitchen.
There are two bedrooms. One has a double bed lit with the natural light of the skylight. The other is a large room with two single beds. There are two bathrooms - both fully tiled and with modern fittings.
There is an excellent private terrace, part of which is al fresco, the other protected from the elements. To round out the apartment there is a TV and music centre for your CDs and tapes.

Gaucín is a mountain village and the surrounding terrain is quite hilly. El Molino del Carmen, like most of the village properties, is built over differing levels. Therefore, we would not encourage visitors to El Molino who have a problem with stairs.
